On your big day:
- After booking your mover with Migrera, you will be assigned a Dedicated Shifting Expert who will be your single point of contact related to your move.
- Your Shifting Expert will provide you details that will be executed during your move.
- Your mover will be informed your shifting requirements for your Big Move Day.
- On the day of your house shifting, your mover will bring along all the packing equipment and carton boxes to pack your mentioned items.
- You can sit and relax and watch them pack all your belongings into boxes including all of your clothes, utensils or any other items. It usually takes an hour or so to finish the job.
- The major items that needs to be packed will be done using suitable packaging material - bubble wrap, corrugated sheets, stretch film and others.
- Items covered for packing in our All-in Package would be major electronic items, mattresses. Other small items will be packed safely into cardboard boxes. Fragile items like crockery, vases, decorative items will be packed into boxes using packing paper, disintegrated paper for filling void spaces.
- For any other packing requirements - Full household packing or custom packing, the ground team will be informed.
- For better handling and saving of space, regular furniture that can be disassembled using standard tools, will be separated into pieces. Regular furniture includes - Beds, sofas, wardrobes and any other basic item easy to be separated.
FYI:- Please note that the ground team is skilled to disassemble and assemble basic furniture only.
- For any special handling of your furniture, please arrange for a skilled carpenter before-hand to dismantle, remove or uninstall any items.
- General items that would need special handling - Designer beds, Boxed beds, wall mount TVs (Ground team can uninstall at the pickup place but won’t install it at your new home), special wardrobes, water purifier, kitchen exhaust system.
Insurance & Liabilities
- Insurance during transit against damage for your belongings is available @ 3% of the value of your items to be insured.
- Local moves do not generally need insurance cover as packing, loading, unloading and unpacking are done on a single day and travel time is hardly an hour.
- We do insist you to opt for packing of all important items to avoid any damages during the shifting process.
- Few of our Shifting Partners offer Instant Damage Cover based on their claims policy. You will be guided about it when you choose such packers and movers.
- Migrera or your mover is not liable for any damages that occur during the move. Generally, in any serious damage issues, Migrera mediates between the parties and resolves the issue reasonably. Also, Migrera takes utmost care beforehand by guiding you measures to avoid such issues.
